Marty Moore & J Stoll
Marty and J "officially" met at a party held by mutual friends - who happened to also be photographers. It turned out that they had actually known each other in college but never had a chance to really get to know one another. At the time of the party, both were working as photographers and decided that it might be fun to collaborate on a few projects. Those projects were a success and so was their relationship. Marty and J continue their collaboration today and enjoy it more than ever.

Marty Moore has over twenty years of experience as a photographer.
After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA
in Photography, Marty began work in New York City as a photographer
and freelance photography editor working with many newspapers, magazines
and book publishers. She began doing wedding photography professionally
after the birth of her first child, feeling that it was a great honor
to participate in and record so many special days.
J.
Stoll
J. Stoll, Marty's husband, is also a graduate of Rochester Institute
of Technology. He has over twenty years of varied photography experience,
including working freelance in both New York City and Atlanta, and
seven years as a corporate photographer for Turner Broadcasting
Systems. It was at Turner that J had the opportunity to work with
many celebrities, sports personalities and news anchors. He has traveled
the world shooting for television programs, advertising, corporate
events, and sports events. Since moving to Charlottesville,
J is the full-time photographer for Crutchfield Corp.
Photographic Approach
We incorporate two styles of photography in our work. The first is a photojournalistic approach, learned from our years of experience in newspaper and magazine work, where we casually and unobtrusively photograph every moment of your special day. The second is studio and fashion photography, where we draw on more commercial and corporate experiences to help us create portraits that are stylish, beautiful and comfortable.
We strive to convey the personalities of our clients and encourage their own style to shine through. We pride ourselves on embracing the unique qualities of each location and event and incorporating those elements into our photography.
We have been working as a team for nearly twenty years. Individually,
we have very different visions and, therefore, have very different
styles. Together, we are a natural team with the ability to create
images that compliment each other in a very unique manner.
It is always a joy to see our clients' happy surprise at the many moments we have captured … some of which they were completely unaware of!
